EV Lockout - Test Equipment - Insulated Tools

  When this has been done the vehicle should be “locked out” to prevent accidental reconnection by using Insulated Lockout Padlocks, and an Isolation Port Lockout.  Information regarding potential danger and status should be clearly displayed on the vehicle, we supply a variety of products for this purpose, including Steering Wheel Lockout Covers, Padlock and Car Key Lockout Tags.  To display the current vehicle status Self Cling Vehicle Window Stickers are also available.  The vehicle keys should be kept in a secure place away from the car the Lockout Station is ideal for this purpose, and to prevent accidental activation Faraday Key Pouches should also be used.

A variety of electrical test equipment rated to CATIII and CATIV, 1,000V is required for fault finding which includes an Electrical Voltage Tester for pre-work verification that high voltage is not present in the vehicle.  CATIII, 1,000V Multimeters can be supplied with an Insulation Test Facility, or without, in the standard model, a CATIV multimeter for high amperage applications is also available.  If you need to determine extremely small values of resistance, as found in motor generator units our Milliohm Meter will do the job.  To measure battery and other component temperatures Prosol’s Thermal Imaging Camera and InfraRed Thermometer are a must have.
