Gas Leak Detector Spray (DVSA Approved for MOT Testing)

Gas Leak Detector Spray is a carefully blended formula of surface-active agents.  Designed to identify the smallest of gas leaks on plastic and metal pipework and fittings.

Manufactured to comply with the requirements of BS EN 14291:2004 and so is DVSA approved for MOT testing of LPG fuel systems.  It is easily applied with the 500ml pump action dispenser. Safe to handle, non-flammable, non-corrosive and biodegradable.

PLEASE NOTE: From 1^st January 2012 it became a mandatory requirement for MOT Testers to have “A proprietary leak detection spray which meets BS EN 14291:2004 requirements”.  This DVSA notice applies to classes 3, 4, 5, & 7 – As per VOSA Special Notice 1-2011.

When sprayed on to the components to be tested, Prosol U.K.’s Gas Leak Detector produces a stable, micro porous foam.  This creates bubbles equivalent to the rate of leakage, the larger the bubbles the bigger the gas leak.  It can be safely used on many types of gas installations, including LPG, Oxygen, Acetylene, Propane, Nitrogen, Refrigerant Gasses R134a and R1234yf, Natural Gas, CO2 etc.

You can also use Gas Leak Detector Spray when connecting regulators to Oxygen, Acetylene and Propane gas bottles to identify potentially hazardous gas leaks.
